Not a Class! An opportunity to sail with and meet new sailing friends! Potential Destinations Outside the Apostle Islands include Cornucopia, Silver Bay, Black River Falls, Saxon Harbor, Wisconsin. Visit unique places nearby while enjoying some time in the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore!
All locations are weather dependent.
We try to work up an itinerary which takes you outside the "normal" boundaries and edges of the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Involve yourself with the planning considering weather, safety and crew comfort. Plan the voyage to use the available weather windows to maximize the "adventure" in a safe, fun, comfortable way. Socialize with your new neighbors!
Visit historic lighthouses. Enjoy pristine anchorages. Show off your grilling skills! Take some great hikes! Explore destinations such as Saxon Harbor, Black River Falls, Silver Bay and Cornucopia. Visit quaint New England style villages, with some of the finest, fresh seafood around. Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow sailors as we share food, music and sail "Gitche Gumee" better known as Lake Superior and share sea stories. Create memories you'll want to share and repeat!
Pre-board the boat the night before after 5pm at Pikes Bay Marina in Bayfield.
Boats
Your Boat: Bring your own boat and join the fun! This is a great opportunity to sail with others where there is an experienced Captain aboard the lead boat!
Charter a boat for you and your friends or family. We encourage you to charter your own boat from our sister company, Apostle Islands Charters.
