“Riding the waves toward the shore
As we listen to the wind roar
No need to use an oar
The lighthouse guides our way
after sailing across the lake all day
As we make our way into the bay
The port is near
And I can forget my fear
Last voyage of the year”

Repair Tips
A graduate recently reported that he found "thousands" of blisters right after his boat was pulled. He then started sanding an area and found the blisters were gel coat deep at most but all contained a tiny amount of water. What's the answer to this type of problem?
1 First open blisters by sanding otherwise they will not dry.
2 Second, dry over winter.
3 Third, epoxy the bottom and fair it by sanding smooth in the spring.
4 Fourth, apply barrier coat in the spring. My preference is Interlux InterProtect 2000E. Use at least three thin coats.
5 Fifth, apply normal bottom paint.
6 Sixth, go sailing, be happy!
