Sailboat Clubs

Sailboat Clubs offer a unique opportunity to sail on your own without buying a sailboat, maintaining the boat, paying slip fees or mooring ball fees, and shopping boat insurance. Leave all of these items to us while you go online, reserve your sailboat, walk down the dock, board the sailboat with your friends and go sailing! It doesn’t get any easier to enjoy the sails powering you across the lake while the wavelets tap against the hull.

Membership in these clubs is limited to ensure “you” can reserve and use the boats. Specifically, this is how it works. We limit membership to five full-time equivalents (FTE) per boat. This ratio allows us to use the boats for classes while ensuring many available uses for boat club members. Once you become a member, at whatever level you choose, there are no additional fees. There is a mandatory indoctrination at each location if you want to use boats at several of our locations. Early in the season, when the days are long, we divide the day into a morning session from 8:00 am to noon; an afternoon session from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm; and, an evening session from 4:30 pm to one half-hour before sunset. Each reserved session equates to a “use.” We are flexible within reason. If this does not work for you because of out-of-town guests, etc., call the office and we will try and work with you. This has been done many times in the past.

Memberships are annual: When you sign up in the middle of the sailing season, your membership continues into the next sailing season and finishes one year from your start date. So, if you have leftover “uses” from one season, they wrap-around into the next until your membership ends.
