Northern Breezes offers skippered rides on our spectacular sailboats. A skippered ride is a great way to get out on the water with family or friends and an experienced skipper to show you the ropes.

Grab some fresh air while your sailboat skipper (an ASA Certified Instructor) guides you and your crew using the gentle breezes of any of our Twin Cities metro sailing lake destinations. We have sailboats on Medicine Lake and White Bear Lake.

Enjoy the brisk spring sunshine, the fleeting fall colors and everything in between as you sail quietly around the lake. The boats used are primarily keelboats which are ideal for couples and can easily accommodate up to four people. Several boats are available so rides for larger groups are possible. Each sailing vessel has an American Sailing Association instructor aboard who will sail the boat and work with interested guests to let them sail the boat as much as possible.

Two-Hour Sailboat rides are normally scheduled around our classes, so start times may vary. Please try to sign up for skippered rides well in advance to allow for adequate instructor and boat availability.

Scheduling and Pricing

Twin Cities Metro Area Skippered Rides:
Season: Mid-May to beginning of October (Weather Permitting)
2-Hours Private (up to four people): $395

3- and 4-Hour rides are available by calling our office.

Reservation/Cancellation Policy

Reservations are required as well as a forty-eight hour notice of cancellation in order to avoid forfeiture of deposit. In the event of adverse weather, we will work with you to reschedule; this is not a reservation/cancellation issue. We always try to work with our ride customers.
